How optical fiber works?

Some words you need to know:
  • hair-thick wire: "cable con un espesor del tamaño de un pelo".
  • core: nucleo, parte central.
  • cladding: cubierta protectora.


 A optical fiber is a hair-thick wire made up of glass with a core surrounding by a cladding and the light can go through it at very high speed and without loss.
