Plastic or
polymers. Polymerisation
Origin of
plastic: Natural (very few) and Sinthetic (from petroleum, natural gas and
carbon)
Properties
of plastics: malleability,
ductility, low density, insulation properties, impermeability.
Not
biodegradable but we can recycle them.
Classification
in 3 groups:
- Thermoplastic: PET, PVC, PS, PP, LDPE, HDPE, PMMA, Teflon, nylon objetcs and their symbol to recycle.
- Thermostable: you can only shape once. If you heat more times they degrades but you cannot shape again.
- Elastomers:rubber (natural and synthetic). Made with vulcanitasion.
FORMATION
TECHNIQUES
